Welcome to the Tweep Trends podcast. Hey, Evette, what's trending today? Hey, I'm Evette, hey girl! And you are tuned in to Tweep Trends.

It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today. In today's episode, I want to know, what would you do? Let's get started. This episode is a what would you do episode?

Now, let me give you the background, give you the info, but bottom line is, I want to know what you would do if you were in this situation. So here we go. We have a few days out from Thanksgiving. Before you know it, Christmas will be here.

On top of that, when we blink, we're going to be into a new year. Now, what these past couple of years have been like for you? I don't know, but it's going to help you answer the question. Did COVID affect you, your family, your job?

What does that look like for you? Did you just have a hard time? Did you maybe change careers and you're just getting your feet wet and just building up momentum there? I don't know.

But so let's fast forward. So you're driving down the freeway. And then you look around and there's money flying in the air everywhere. Like literally, you're driving and there's bills hitting your windshield.

What do you do? Well, this happened in California not that long ago, a couple of days ago. What happened? The door of a money truck flew open and money started flying out.

First off, I'm confused because I would have thought that the money in a money truck would be in something. It would be in clothes that it's not. You just got money just laying in the back of the truck, right? But this sounds like they just took a shovel and shoveled the money in there.

So whoever money that was, they got too much because they did not take care of their money in the first place. But neither here nor there. You're driving down the street and money is billowing all over the place. It's all over the freeway.

What do you do? Let's be honest, there are only two real answers to this question. You're either one going to continue to drive or two, you're going to stop and pick up some of the money. However, for each one of these answers, there are subsets of answers because you can continue to drive, but pull out your phone and start to videotape to remember the day that you were driving down the freeway and money was just flying all over the place.

Or you might decide to stop, pick up the money, but also record yourself, telling everybody in the world or at least those people that you reach by social media about your lucky day. You pray for this and hallelujah, praise God, mone do it, you know? So in that whole thought process of would you stop and pick up the money or would you continue to drive? There are things to think about, but I honestly don't know if people would stop to think about it.

I think it would be a knee jerk type reaction where whatever it is that you do in that moment, it may not be reflected in your answer today. It's going to require you to actually be on that freeway and be driving down the road and see that money come flying out of that truck for you to truly say what it is that you will or wouldn't do in that particular situation. I can sit here and tell you all day that I would continue to drive and mind my business, but I don't know. When I sit and I think about it, if I had been in a bad place and was in need of money, and let's say I had been praying for money, and then this happens, I don't know.

But then two, you could stop, pick up the money, and then turn it in. I don't know who you actually turn it into because if you think of this on a regular basis, like if you were just walking down the street on a regular day and there was a $20 bill on the ground, you see it, you kind of look around, nobody's around, you pick it up, you put it in your pocket, and you keep going. You're not going to go down some rabbit hole like a detective trying to figure out who this $20 belongs to. You're not going to start dusting it for fingerprints and crazy nonsense like that.

You're going to just take it and keep it moving. Now you may decide to bless somebody with that $20 because you're saying, you know what? This wasn't my $20 to begin with. So if I see somebody in need and I'm going to bless them with this $20, or you might run to the store and go spend that $20 almost immediately because it's burning a hole in your hand because you didn't have $20.

You just never know. So that's the kind of iffy part about this question is that you could say all sorts of things right now. You will tell me the right thing, but when you are actually in that moment, what would you do? Okay, so going back to the actual story that happened in San Diego, where the back of the truck opened up and the money was all over the place, and the police are saying, hey, don't spend the money, give it back because it's not yours, it's stolen.

If you took it off of the road, you stole it. And I can see that because in that situation, I can see the money carrying and flying out of the back of the truck. It's not like I don't know where that money came from versus the $20 that you just see on the sidewalk. I don't know where that money came from.

There's nobody around. It's safe to pick it up. But you see the money come billowing out the back of the truck. I know it belongs to that truck.

Let me just pick it up and help you out and take it back to the truck. But there's always people out there that are going to do the wrong thing. Somebody's going to take that money and try to spend it. There was a couple actually they got handcuffed because what did they do?

They got their keys in the car while they got out to go run around and pick up money off of the road. So they got in trouble for blocking traffic and attempting to steal money and all that good stuff. But there's that person that got away, of course. I'm sure somebody got some of the money and kept it moving.

Well, the police are saying, well, guess what? We got a video because somebody else was out there videotaping yourselves taking the money. Bad idea. But so you got that type of situation.

And then too, they're saying, you know, some people are saying that the serial numbers may be somewhere, you know, if that's the case, good luck trying to figure that out because I don't even see how that works. How you can say like, do you let all of the businesses in the area know these are the serial numbers? If you find any, so not everybody's checking all the serial numbers on the money. That just seems a bit exhaustive to say you're not providing me with anybody to help me in my store to do that.

But neither here nor there. But let's just say a person goes into a mom's and pop store. They buy something. They get a product.

Now moms and pops. They have the money. They go and spend it or give it to somebody else for change. Well, now that person has it.

And then somewhere further down the line, this money gets put in a birthday card and sent to the East Coast for a year. They get in trouble because they end up spending the money. I just don't understand how far down the line. How does that trickle down effect work in a situation like this?

But bottom line is bad money, guys. It's not fake. It's real, but it's not yours. So just keep it moving.

Don't even tempt yourself. Thank you so much for joining me for today's episode. And yes, I truly want to know what you would do in this situation. Would you go after the money?
