The investigation into Suzanne's disappearance involved the FBI, Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Chaffee County Sheriff's Office. In May 2021, nearly a year after Suzanne went missing, Barry Morphew was arrested on charges of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and attempting to influence a public servant.
