from It's Giving... Sus

True Crime News Update Episode Overview: In this episode, we bring you the latest developments and breaking news from some of the most gripping true crime cases across the country. First we start off with the death of Mica Miller. Mica Miller, a 30-year-old woman from South Carolina, was found dead on April 27, 2024, at Lumber River State Park in North Carolina. Her death has been officially ruled a suicide by the Robeson County Medical Examiner, who concluded that she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Next, Chad Daybell, known as the "Doomsday Prophet," is facing trial for multiple charges, including the murder of his wife, Tammy Daybell, and the children of his current wife, Lori Vallow Daybell. The trial is set to take place in 2024, with significant evidence pointing to Daybell's involvement. Key pieces of evidence include DNA found on the property where the children's bodies were discovered and electronic evidence from Daybell's devices. The trial is expected to be lengthy and will be streamed live, unlike Lori Vallow's trial. Followed by, Christopher Gregor is on trial for the death of his six-year-old son, Corey Micciolo. Gregor is accused of forcing his son to run on a treadmill as punishment, which led to the boy's death from sustained injuries. Gregor faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree murder. The trial has revealed disturbing details about Gregor's treatment of his son and his attempts to delete incriminating messages from his phone. The jury is tasked with determining the weight of this evidence and Gregor's culpability. In addition we cover Suzanne Morphew, a 49-year-old mother of two, went missing on May 10, 2020, after leaving her home in Maysville, Colorado, for a bike ride on Mother's Day. Her bicycle was found down a steep ravine off Chaffee County Road 225, but it did not appear to have been involved in a crash, and no blood was recovered from the scene. The investigation into Suzanne's disappearance involved the FBI, Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Chaffee County Sheriff's Office. In May 2021, nearly a year after Suzanne went missing, Barry Morphew was arrested on charges of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and attempting to influence a public servant. To finish the episode, we cover the most popular Netflix series, Baby Reindeer. Baby Reindeer" is a Netflix limited series that delves into the dark and complex story of comedian Richard Gadd's real-life encounters with a stalker. The show, based on Gadd's autobiographical one-man play, follows the life of Donny Dunn (played by Gadd), a struggling comedian who works as a bartender. The narrative takes an unsettling turn when an enigmatic female admirer named Martha (Jessica Gunning) enters Donny's life, leading to a chilling tale of obsession and trauma.
