What You Should Know About Skincare and Anxiety

from Elisha's Space: Counseling and Authentic Conversations on Healing · host Elisha Lee, Counseling Expert | Authentic Conversations Host

Did you know that stress has an effect on your skin? Acne, skin rash, hives, rosacea, and dermatitis are potential ways the skin responds to anxiety and stress.  Today, I am speaking with Dawn Conley of Fresh Faces Skin Care. We discuss issues that those suffering from anxiety deal with regarding their skin care. Dawn is a licensed Esthetician in the state of Maryland and, the proud owner of Fresh Faces Skincare, a Columbia-based skin care salon. After suffering for years with teenage and young adult acne, she was struggling trying to find a solution to this very devasting condition. She tried everything over the counter available and visited several dermatologists but nothing seemed to help long term. She finally decided to try a chemical peel at a local plastic surgeon's office. And that’s where her story to become a licensed Esthetician began. Please feel free to visit her website at freshfacesskincare.com, to learn more about her and Fresh Faces Skincare.
