Michie Mee is a rapper and actress, widely recognized as the "Godmother of Canadian Rap. As the first Canadian MC to be signed to a major American record label, she broke massive musical boundaries in the late 1980s by uniquely blending hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall styles  She will be performing at Toronto’s Massey Hall on September 10 for Make Music Matter, an annual benefit concert in support of mental health and drug use recovery initiatives.
