Whatever We Ask

from Sundays at Cumberland · host Courtney Harkness

As believers, we are promised the most extraordinary gifts through our relationship with Jesus. Any complaints that we hold about this fallen world, or even our own brokenness, are offset by the grace that God gives to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. As scripture affirms, we are without excuse. And the reason for this confidence is tied to the most powerful tool of all: access to God through prayer. We often worry about what’s missing from our lives, without ever considering what might be missing from our prayers. In essence, how we talk to God holds a direct impact on how we actually live for God. The bold and courageous steps that are meant to characterize our faith journey originate from our humble dependence on a God who is willing to provide our every need - if we just ask.
