What's Going On with America? The Historic Context from Reconstruction to Now

In this special episode, we examine how social unrest, rioting, over-policing, disenfranchisement, and strained race relations have a historic context that goes back to Reconstruction--the most promising yet disappointing era in American history.  Learn about the incredible gains African Americans made during this brief period in history, and how America reneged on her promises and dashed the hopes of newly freed African Americans when the government took back all of the gains made during this hopeful and tragic period.  Whether you are  Black or White, all Americans will benefit from knowing what really happened.  This is the history that schools have neglected to teach.
