What's Going On With The Spawn Reboot?

Spawn is one of those comic book characters that put a huge smile on my face as a kid, just by how dark he was in tone... I wasn't used to such grim heroes like that, so it was a joy to see that on screen back in 1997. But with only a big screen adaptation and an HBO series in the can, I need to know just what is going on with this new reboot. Pre-production hiatuses tend to scare me, so this has me a bit on edge. But I'm staying hopeful nonetheless. Enjoy, y'all.
