What's New? Will Donald Lead the Republican Party into the Future?

With Donald J Trump's name being floated around as Presidential Candidate, I wanted to know what would be new about his possible candidacy? I want to know how has being President changed him and what he would do to effect lasting change.  After all, Executive orders can be undone by the next President. I want to see if he will bring a political bulldog, A person more than capable of traversing the swamp, wrestling the alligators, and whatever else is necessary to get things done. I wonder, now that he understands there is a deep state, what he plans to do about it, and does he recognize the limitations. Michael Smerconish said of Biden, "It's not enough to be an alternative to Donald Trump," and I ask Will Donald Trump be able to turn the page on the past and lead the Republican Party into the Future?
