Whats Next!? Episode 19: Love Overdxse

"Resilience is very different than being numb. Resilience means you experience, you feel, you fail, you hurt, You fall. But, you keep going." Resiliency! That’s the word that I have been hearing in my head! Thinking of my son, I recollect on how resilient he was! In the face of doubt and he never gave in! My hero, everything I do is for him Rest In Peace John Ross Dike II... 05/20/19-06/25/19! Damaria started making music at Prairie View (11:33) and was singing at PV (12:40)! In Purpose, which is episode 14 of my podcast I was introduced to Damaria, Kenedi (Sir Ja Monét) gave me an EP. That EP is entitled Love Overdxse, I listened to Love Overdxse twice and was connected to it! That EP is what this episode is about. We dive into it. We listen to the music and zone out! The first track that we talk about is Questions (17:37) I randomly played it on Purpose (EP 14), there was a visual (19:42)! We learn about the intro track Damn Pride (24:56) and find out that that was how the EP got its name! Never Find Another (41:27) was a woman’s declaration for a man to understand that she is unique and irreplaceable and she’s not with the bs so put up or get out the way! Friday Night (42:51) “A crowd favorite” Damaria states is an interlude which left me wanting more but I find out that the beat was created like that! Thinkin (47:44), my favorite record on the episode features the only hip hop artist on the EP. Damaria credits the fact of she and Jamie Hancock going to PV together as a source to their compatibility! We didn’t get to the segment ‘Songs On Your Mind’, to be honest I forgot about it and the video was cut short because i ran out of space on my SD card, everything happens for a reason! I realize that this episode may be too long but there was no wasted second this episode, I took my time working this episode so I could fix every concern I had! This is the best one I have done and I’m grateful to be apart of her story! God is Grand remember that! This episode is also dedicated to my son!
