What's Next for Us

from After29 Hosted by Vincent, Clayton, Malcolm and Mosieo

Join us in this week's episode as we discuss the aftermath of the George Floyd murder case against former Minnesota officer, Derek Chauvin. On April 20th, 2021 Derek Chauvin was found guilty of 2nd and 3rd degree murder and 2nd manslaughter for his involvement in the killing of George Floyd. With this conviction, Derek could potentially spend a maximum of 40 years in prison. With the verdict being in, the question that must be contemplated is "what happens next" for the black community. Does his conviction now set a precedence for officers who mishandle and misuse their authority? Will this be a one-time thing? Also, many have even asked if this was considered justice or just a hollow victory. Tune in with us!
