What's So Great About Normal?

Today we're taking a break from Lamentations and instead asking the question: What's so great about normal? If you were a Jew in the first century waiting for the Messiah to arrive you might think that the Messiah would continue on the work of the spiritual leaders ... that would be normal. And yet, Jesus comes on the scene and corrects and rebukes the leaders. His actions of healing, serving, connecting and loving are far from normal.   Are you pursuing the normal? Have you placed the laws of God above God? have you been paying such close attention to the rules that you've missed the point of the rules? Are you so intent on coloring in the lines that you've forgotten the joy of coloring?  We'll ask these questions, look at several Bible stories from Matthew and Luke in today's devotional.
