What's so special about Eryri?

Welcome to the first English episode of the Eryri Podcast from Snowdonia National Park Authority. This month we are looking at the Special Qualities of Snowdonia National Park which are the reasons for our designation as a National Park. All National Parks have a clearly defined list of ‘Special Qualities’ similarly to how World Heritage sites have a defined Outstanding Universal Value or Special Areas of Conservation have. Our Special Qualities set out what makes the area unique and help us all understand what needs to be protected and enhanced; they define what gives this area its unique sense of place. In this episode Angela Jones SNPA's Partnerships Manager discusses some of these special qualities with conservationist and photographer Ben Porter, Dr Angharad Price from Bangor University and Roland Evans from Gwynedd Council.The next podcast will be broadcasted in on the 18th of February and will be discussing the Carneddau Landscape Project.
