What’s the Difference Between Experience and Wisdom?

Experience tells you what happened. Wisdom tells you what it meant—and what to do next. In Galatians 1, Paul had plenty of experience. He had reputation, education, religious passion, and a past built on persecuting the church. But none of that made him wise. Everything changed when Jesus revealed the truth to him. Experience can shape you. But it can also deceive you. Tradition can train you. But it cannot save you. Paul stopped living for human approval, stopped trusting his old identity, and started preaching the gospel he received from Christ—not from people. His past became part of his testimony, but Jesus became the source of his wisdom. You may know what you’ve been through. But have you allowed God to show you what it was for? Because experience gives you a story. Wisdom gives that story purpose.
