TINA: The Tina Turner Musical is playing at TPAC now through February 18th.  The musical production, of which Turner was a producer, tells the story of her life. Tina Turner grew up in Nutbush, Tennessee, a rural community about 50 miles outside of Memphis. Her genre-breaking career spanned over 6 decades. When she passed in May of 2023, she left behind an impressive legacy of work. In this episode we talk to cast members from the musical depicting her story, and speak with an author who can tell us how this Tennessee country girl became an international superstar.
