WhatsApp banking launched in South Africa

South Africans will now be able to pay their bills and transact through social media platform WhatsApp. This, as one of its banks -ABSA- has recently launched a chat banking service. Experts say because WhatsApp has secure end-to-end messaging encryption, this will make the risk of transaction minimal. So far 3 other Nigerian banks have also recently launched this service.
