Wheel of Fortune Announcer Suspended | Las Vegas News

Jim Thornton, the iconic voice of “Wheel of Fortune,” has been suspended by Sony Pictures Television amid allegations under investigation. The incident reportedly occurred at LAX, where authorities met his American Airlines flight after a passenger raised concerns — he was seen wearing his show jacket and later questioned before being released. Thornton, who took over from Charlie O’Donnell in 2011 and has anchored the show’s energy for over a decade, is now on hold as the network scrambles to find a replacement while the probe continues.
