Her (and his) stubborn behavior over the next few chapters is un-endingly frustrating to read, and although it may seem counter intuitive, plot lines like this one are what make Robert Jordan's characters feel so real. They are flawed individuals, who are often terrible at communicating in general, stubborn to the point of obstinance, and prone to refuse help from their friends and allies out of pride or misplaced distrust.
