Wheels rolling in right direction for old Floresville depot

Floresville’s former San Antonio & Aransas Pass railway depot — in bad need of repair — is about to get a new lease on life. The city of Floresville is finalizing an agreement to turn the historical train station over to the Floresville Heritage and Railroad Museum (FHRM) for two years. Floresville City Manager Andrew Muñoz told the Wilson County News that the agreement will call for the organization to come up with conceptual drawings, architectural plans, and cost estimates for the building’s rehabilitation and present them to the city council before the end of that time period.
