When False Prophets Silence the Truth (2:6-11) • The people did not repent when confronted. • False prophets assured them that judgment would never come. When a Nation Consumes Itself (2:8-10) • The land became polluted. • Not by foreign armies. Not by natural disasters. • But by sin. Greed. Oppression. Violence. False religion. The Reality of Divine Judgment • "Arise and go, for this is no place to rest." The Hope Beyond Judgment (2:12-13) • The chapter does not end in darkness. • The God who scatters is also the God who gathers. • The God who judges is also the God who saves. • Micah sees a Shepherd-King leading His people home.
