When [body] love doesn't feel good

from The Strong[HER] Way | Healthy nutrition and habits for moms, routines, strength training for women · host Alisha Carlson, Fitness and Nutrition Coach for Moms

Send us Fan MailHey friend, today is my anniversary! And of course, I was reminiscing on our relationship. As much as I wanted to post a super cheesy and sappy post talking about the highlights of our relationship, the reality is, of the 14 years we have been married 11 have been pretty dang good, and 3 of them have been hard. Challenging. And didn't feel good at all. Like if I can be super vulnerable so rough that I used to fantasize about leaving. Somewhere along the lines we have been sold the idea that love has to always feel good or we are somehow doing it wrong. Likewise that having a healthy body image means we will always feel positive about our bodies. We won't.Just like in a loving relationship with another person, so it is with you too, it won't always feel good. In fact, true love often doesn't feel bubbly. Rather it feels like commitment, courage, vulnerability, and sticking it out even when it's hard. If you've been doing the work of learning to love the body you've been given more and have found it doesn't always feel good or is sometimes a struggle, this one is for you. Ready to take this work deeper?
