The church should be a place of healing, but sometimes it becomes a place of hurt. As we move toward healing and restoration, we unpack what true healing from church hurt looks like, the difference between forgiveness and excusing harmful behavior, and the importance of boundaries, discernment, and  a healthy community. We also discuss separating God’s character from human failure, rebuilding trust, and what to look for in a healthy church environment.
