"When Cops Get High on Their Own Supply” – Alabama Police Department Gets Shuts Down

from That Was Wild · host Adam Macias

This week on That Was Wild, we’re bringing you the most bizarre, chaotic, and downright hilarious stories you’ll hear all week. First up, we’ve got a whole police department in Alabama getting caught in a major scandal—fentanyl in the evidence room and a grand jury recommending the entire department be shut down. It’s straight out of a Coen Brothers movie, but it’s real life. 🚨💥But that’s not all—Adam and Jon TomaShefsky dive into a haunted Elmo balloon that literally walks up the stairs on its own. Forget ghosts, we’re talking about a balloon with some serious creepy energy. 🎈👻 And let’s not forget the hilarious stories from John’s stand-up comedy career, with memories of wild gigs and the absurdity of the “comedians’ road life”.And, of course, Adam and John explore what it’s like when your mind becomes too untethered and start believing fake Elon Musk Accounts. So grab your popcorn, throw on your ghost-hunting hat (or maybe your Elmo balloon), and get ready for the wildest hour of your life. Like, subscribe, and share with your friend who believes in ghosts but is still afraid of fentanyl.#PoliceDrama #HauntedBalloon #ElmoBalloon #ThatWasWild #PodcastHumor #FentanylFiasco #CreepyStories #GhostEncountersFollowJon - https://www.instagram.com/jonathantomashefsky/Adam - https://www.instagram.com/adamrmac/ Drop us a line - (323) 207-0387 Email you wild story at [email protected] Follow @thatwaswildpod on Instagram / Tiktok/ Youtube______________________________________________0:00 - Intro1:31 - Jon TomaShefsky3:35 - Road Dogs and Do you want to be famous 13:17 - Wild Things Happening in the world 13:29 - Grand jury recommends Alabama police department be abolished24:29 - Have you ever been Arrested?29:03 - Haunted Elmo Balloon39:24 - What would do if you were a ghost?47:12 - Adam was c*cked blocked by a ghost49:48 - The wild wheel50:40 - Wild Guess52:46 - Wild Flowers - Untethered Mind Podcast58:54 - Outro

The Last Outlaws Impact Studios at UTS In a History Lab season like no other, we're pulling on the threads of one of Australia's great misunderstood histories, moving beyond the myths to learn what the Aboriginal brothers Jimmy and Joe Governor faced in both life and death.Australia's budding Federation is the background setting to this remarkable story, that sees the Governor brothers tied to the inauguration of a 'new' nation and Australia's dark history of frontier violence, racial injustice and the global trade and defilement of Aboriginal ancestral remains. This Impact Studios production is a collaboration with the Governor family, UTS Faculty of Law and Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. The Last Outlaws teamKatherine Biber - UTS Law Professor and Chief InvestigatorAunty Loretta Parsley - Great-granddaughter of Jimmy Governor and the Governor Family Historian Leroy Parsons - Governor descendant, Narrator and Co-WriterKaitlyn Sawrey - Host, Writer and Senior ProducerFrank Lopez - Writer, Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
