Death is an inevitable part of the life experience. We encounter it in Medicine every day. Sometimes multiple times a day, despite our best efforts. A cousin of mine died yesterday. A beloved former patient of mine died yesterday as well. Both had cancer. Both were wonderful women, loved to have fun, loved their families, and were full of life.
