When Do I Lift My Fist? Strength, Self Defense, Justice, and Christian Witness

Christians are called to be people of peace, gentleness, forgiveness, and self control. Yet we also live in a fallen world filled with danger, injustice, violence, abuse, and moments where protection may become necessary. So where is the line between courage and aggression? Between defending and retaliating? Between righteous protection and sinful anger? Should a Christian always “turn the other cheek”? Is self defence biblical? What about protecting family, confronting evil, or stepping into danger on behalf of someone vulnerable? In this episode, we wrestle with the difficult tension between strength and restraint, asking what it means to reflect Christ faithfully in moments of conflict, threat, and confrontation.
