As a young girl Molly Wright found comfort in drawing and painting. While art wasn't initially considered a career option, Molly had a wonderful high school art department experience that inspired her to continue to create art even if only on the side. After a stint in the catering business and raising her children, Molly rediscovered her love for painting and began selling her work for the first time after opening up her home for her first show. What started as a side hobby eventually turned into a full-fledged career, driven by Molly's decision to prioritize her art. You’ll have to tune in to hear Molly’s reflections on the unexpected strengths she uncovered along her journey as an art business owner. Today you’ll find Molly working on her next collection release focused on landscapes and of course coastal pieces that reflect her beautiful home surroundings. Molly’s gratitude for her life and her art is so evident in our conversation. It was lovely getting to listen to her share the wisdom she’s gained over the fifteen years of her art business. Portraits of an Artist Ryan Burgess Portraits of an Artist is a podcast that explores the creative journeys of artists through conversations and portrait photography. Each episode dives into the inspirations, challenges, and stories behind a creator's work, capturing their process, passion, and unique perspective. Each conversation is paired with a portrait session, visually documenting the artists alongside their words. Through these discussions and images, the podcast paints a fuller picture of the people behind the art, offering listeners a deeper connection to the creative process. The Scratched Unplugged: Growth and Connection (TRAILER) Anna Wallace In our first series of The Scratched Unplugged, we hear six powerful conversations with women depicted in artist Karis Yves Knight's portrait series 'The V.O.W Project'. V.O.W, which stands for Voices of Women, is a growing art project created by the Glasgow-based artist, and strives to highlight the experiences of women, through an unpolished artistic lens which makes room for grief, loss, pain and suffering and yet paints something new and captivating with every person she meets. The Self Portrait Gospel :: Podcast The Self Portrait Gospel :: Podcast THE SELF PORTRAIT GOSPEL IS A PODCAST AS WELL AS AN ONLINE PUBLICATION THAT FOCUSES ON THE VARIOUS CREATIVE APPROACHES AND ATTITUDES OF THE MUSIC WE FIND ENLIGHTENING AND MOST MOVING. Respect Due Museum of Colour This is Respect Due. For this project we’ve invited UK creatives, journalists and heritage organisations to nominate an individual who’s had a big impact on their creative journey, someone they would like to pay public respect to. Their achievements are celebrated with a portrait in the Museum of Colour, by the artists Grace Lee, Erin Tse and Naki Narh. Museum of Colour is a digital museum celebrating 250 years of creative achievement by People of Colour. In this audio series, you will hear from some of the nominees themselves…Museum of Colour is incubated by People's Palace Projects.
