When Faith is Not Enough

Speaker: Paul Pham Scripture: 2 Peter 1:3-11 Date: June 2, 2024 Pastor Paul, is a self-described “bi-vocational caffeinated chameleon”. On weekdays, he’s the mild-mannered offspring of Vietnamese immigrants—nodding off politely at a computer terminal like a tech-savvy monk. On the weekends, he dons flip-flops where he volunteers with the children’s ministry Awana and dances with the kids, then on Sunday’s, the sandals come off as he suits up to serve as a pastor at Milpitas Christian Church.   Despite being single for most of his life, he somehow managed to adopt a son and became a proud grandfather of three. Then, in a plot twist worthy of a rom-com, he met the beautiful Kaylee last year during a trip to Vietnam. Now they’re happily married.   Pastor Paul believes that the Church shines brightest when she reflects Christ not in words but through her actions in how she loves others.
