WHEN FEAR TRIES TO OVERTAKE YOU!

Scripture: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) Message: Fear is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons to keep us from walking in faith and fulfilling God’s purpose. It can paralyze us, make us doubt, and cause us to shrink back instead of moving forward in confidence. But 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that fear does not come from God. Instead, He has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. When fear tries to overtake you, remember that God has already equipped you with everything you need to overcome it. His power gives you strength, His love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and His Spirit renews your mind so that you can think with clarity and faith instead of anxiety and doubt. Fear may try to whisper lies, but God’s truth is louder. He is with you, He is for you, and He has not given you a spirit of fear. You can stand firm, knowing that He who is in you is greater than anything that comes against you. Today, ask yourself: Am I letting fear control my decisions, or am I walking in the power God has given me? How can I remind myself daily of God’s love and His presence in my life? What steps of faith do I need to take despite my fears? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. When fear tries to overtake me, help me to stand firm in Your truth. Strengthen my heart to trust You completely and to walk boldly in the purpose You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
