When Friendships Fall Apart with Abigail Rose Clarke

from Brokenhearted · host Althea Branton

Abigail Rose Clarke is a somatic educator focusing on strategic, tangible, embodied methods to create lasting change in our personal and communal lives, rippling out from individual to systemic change. By helping people truly inhabit their own skin and blood and guts and bones she offers a way to re-enter into true relationship with the world.  In 2014 Abigail began developing The Embodied Life Method, a systematic approach to dismantling the paradigm of social inequalities while anchoring into the body as a way to emerge into the future we are all so hungry for.  In courses and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and online, with individuals, small businesses, and organizations, Abigail teaches embodiment as a practice and a responsibility. As the world shakes and burns and floods we are tasked with remaining present to the world as it is, which requires we remain present to ourselves as we are. Only when we are willing to be present with the world and ourselves and one another does the way forward become possible.  In this episode we break down what happens when friendships end, the importance of platonic love and recognizing how friendships can be affected by your individual experience in the world.  Check out  Anchor Yourself, a 6 week deep dive into somatics and personal accountability to close 2019 and emerge into the new decade of 2020 by going to www.AbigailRoseClarke.com.  Follow Abigail on Instagram:  @___abigail.rose (that's 3 underscores)

BroKen & Believing | Rev. Kenn Blanchard Rev. Kenn Blanchard "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18Broken & Believing is a sanctuary for the ones still standing, still trying, still trusting—sometimes with trembling hands. Hosted by Kenn, a blues‑soaked pastor, storyteller, and lifelong student of grace, this podcast sits at the intersection of faith, struggle, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going.Every episode is a conversation with the real. Not the polished. Not the perfect. The real. Here, we talk about the parts of life we don't always bring to church:the disappointments we didn't see coming, the healing that takes longer than we hoped, the prayers we whisper in the dark, and the small victories that remind us God is still at work. Through stories, scripture, humor, and grown‑folk honesty, Kenn offers a voice that feels like a porch light—steady, warm, and welcoming. If you're carrying something heavy…If you're rebuilding your faith…If you're learning to trust again…If PCAPodcast Praise Chapel Azusa Praise Chapel Azusa is a church led by Pastors Woody & Apples Calvary and is part of the PC Azusa Fellowship as well as the PC Huntington Park Fellowship.
