When God Says No: “Take This Cup From Me…”

Traditional Worship | Bishop Bob Hayes | How many times have you earnestly prayed for something, and it felt as though your prayer went unheard or unanswered? Or, even worse, God answered your petition with an unmistakable “no”? From our early childhood we found it difficult to accept the word “no” from our parents, and we certainly couldn’t understand why God, our Heavenly Father, would respond to us in such a way. But the truth is, there are times when God says, “No.” How do you feel when that happens? Does it cause your faith to waver or cause you to question if God really cares? In this sermon series we will examine what the Scriptures say to us when God says “no” and what our faithful response should be.
