When God Shows Up - SHIELD
from The Hosts Church Hosted by The Hosts Church
When God Shows Up as your Shield - Genesis 15:1 (KJV): “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” * When God shows up as a shield, He first calms your fears. He doesn’t just offer protection, He offers Himself. He meets you in your fear, your waiting, and your weakness. - 2 Samuel 22:2-3, 7 (KJV): “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress… my shield, and the horn of my salvation… In my distress I called upon the LORD… and my cry did enter into his ears.” This is the cry of a distressed man ....broken, surrounded, and overwhelmed. But when he cried, God heard. Tears are not weakness—they are a weapon that draws God near. And when He comes, He doesn’t just speak peace—He becomes your shield.
