When Harry Met Sally (1989) REVIEW | Flashback Flicks Podcast

from Flashback Flicks : Retro Movie Podcast · host Ricky Anderson II

In this episode of Flashback Flicks we review the FIRST MOVIE IN OUR FEBRUARY MEG-ATHON! The 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally... Synopsis: When Harry Met Sally… is a 1989 American romantic comedy film written by Nora Ephron and directed by Rob Reiner. It stars Billy Crystal as Harry and Meg Ryan as Sally. The story follows the title characters from the time they meet just before sharing a cross-country drive, through twelve years or so of chance encounters in New York City. The film raises the question "Can men and women ever just be friends?" and advances many ideas about relationships that became household concepts, such as those of the "high-maintenance" girlfriend and the "transitional person". In this review we discuss a number of things you didn’t know about "When Harry Met Sally”, some interesting production history, some headcanon, and we discuss the age old question  "Can men and women ever just be friends?" So grab your best friend, some grapes, and remember to roll down the window. Favorite Quotes The fact that you're not answering leads me to believe you're either (a) not at home, (b) home but don't want to talk to me, or (c) home, desperately want to talk to me, but trapped under something heavy. If it's either (a) or (c), please call me back. -Harry Burns The inspiration for the split screen scene from When Harry Met Sally Pillow Talk (1959) : https://youtu.be/OhxDNtD2hdw When Harry Met Sally (1989): https://youtu.be/RslAFE5nZrc  Follow us on Twitter : https://twitter.com/flashbackflicks
