When I Had No One Else…

(By Tsem Rinpoche) Dear friends, I was instructed by one of my teachers years ago to do a book on my biography. I didn’t want to do it. I thought that my life was nothing exceptional at all. My teacher insisted. I couldn’t say “no” anymore although I am kind of embarrassed to talk about my life. Hence the Bio Team was born. Apart from talking about myself, I thought it would be good for my students to research my background, meet the people I grew up with, see where I lived, my school, friends, environment and all. It would make the future biographical book much more interesting and real I thought. So many of my wonderful hardworking people travelled to Tibet, Xianjiang, Taiwan, India, and USA to research my background. To interview people who knew me or I grew up with. Some of these people I have not seen in over 30 years!!! They met up with my childhood friends, relatives, neighbours and others.
