Welcome to, "When I knew" presented by Dicks & Politics. This is a monthly special edition episode we release in tandem with our weekly episodes on Wednesday. "When I knew" features exclusive interviews with our listeners who have overcome tremendous challenges and how they are working to move forward. Our inaugural episode is with Samantha's best and oldest friend, Page who is an addict and an alcoholic celebrating three years of sobriety in February. Samantha and Page take you through their friendship in chronological order and explore Page's struggle with addiction and how it impacted their friendship for better and for worse. These segments in general are explicit and because this deals with drug use, it may not be suitable for young children. We do hope our listeners will join us with an open mind and find something worthwhile in stepping into someone else shoes for a bit.
