When is it time to say goodbye? This is the daily disturbance podcast with Anthony Fungina. Helen Roland, a man never knows how to say goodbye. A woman never knows when to say it.
If Helen is right, I must have a bit of a woman in me. Well, we all have the feminine side, right? But seriously, I have a tough time figuring out both now and the when. So how to know when it's time, because it won't be easy.
As Charlie Brown admits, goodbye always makes my throat hurt. But, but if you are willing to do what is right, you will know. I'll say that again, if you are willing to do what is right, not if you're willing to know what is right, not if you are willing to discover what is right, if you're willing to do what is right, John 717. If anyone's will is to do, God's will he will know.
So are you willing to do? Here's my take on this. When is it time to say goodbye? Consider the following.
Number one, when the internet is down. Wi-Fi is bad, the load of the budget is finished. Come on, say goodbye, read a book, right? Write in your journal.
Say goodbye to your online life, at least for now. The winds have changed, so adjust your sales, right? Number two, when is it time to say goodbye? When the tenure is over, you're overstaying.
It was a four-year assignment. The extension wasn't granted. The new person is waiting for you to vacate your office. I wish some politicians were listening to this podcast now.
Goodbye, good riddance for some. Number three, when is it time to say goodbye? Intuwishon, your Intuwishon, honest Intuwishon, is telling you that your best days are past you in this particular area, not ahead of you. You know the saying quit while you're ahead.
So in my case, after hosting 18, I think PewDieBagens, with Janapilipinas, was a specific quest, I used to call it, I knew it was time to step back. Too many questions from the kids about my connection with those ladies in swimsuits, because I started hosting as no single, right? Number four, something else or someone else of greater value and authority is calling you to a new adventure, priority. It's not necessarily a corrective measure or a punishment, not an act of discipline, but a bountiful blessing, a bigger opportunity, a greater act of love.
But then I would now want to miss his goal. Any good play. Number four, something else or someone else of greater value is calling. Number five, time's up.
That's it, time's up. I mean, similar to tenure, but more applicable to the moment, the situation at hand, the live stream is ended, right? The party host, if you're mindful enough, is already saying goodbye. And the mutual understanding is no longer mutual.
Ouch, the other party made the choice. Now, don't get me wrong, you can still hope for a replay, right? A comeback, but for now, it's over. Say your goodbyes, hopefully, until we meet again.
And I quote, I hate the feeling when you have to say goodbye to someone you want to spend every minute with. When to say goodbye, number six, when the impact or interest from your target audience has waned. Walana, Walana interres, no? It was good while it lasted.
Sometimes in businesses it's called sun setting your product, right? They're products that are on sunrise, they're those that are mature, but some are on the sunset face of life already. There will be no more, let's say, season six, right? It's time to move on.
Number seven, it's time to move on when mission has been accomplished, right? The purpose of the engagement has been fulfilled. In fact, in some cases, your life might be in danger, you know, in the case of Tom Cruise. It's done, get out.
Or maybe the other party, right? It's in danger because you have been plotting in your mind. Some partnerships were meant to bless you for, but a season, and you've been blessed, but the season is over. I must have used casted for over eight years, but when I could no longer draw good from the nightly assignment, with a family growing and but still needing more time from me, more help at home, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
As I resigned from badger hosting, I resigned from newscasting, but the doors remained open. Even as I speak, I'm back in the same network as a host and as a producer. Abba Nann, watch out, launching to new shows soon. And finally, it's time to say goodbye when number eight, everyone has left.
Like I said, I'm not going to do that. Seriously, I think of the movie, The Last Emperor. He was the last to acknowledge. It was a painful wake-up call.
But sometimes, indeed, come on, be honest with me, we are the last to acknowledge it that people have moved on, perhaps an entire community. And so should we. When should you move on? I, internet is down, T 10 years over.
I, again, intuition is telling you, S, something else, of greater value is calling you. T times up, I, impact is waning or has waned. Emission has been accomplished, E, everyone else has left. I, T, I, S, T, I, M, E, it is time.
Let's end with an anonymous but all too relatable quote. At some point, you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart, but not in your life.
