When it really is not your emergency !

Don't you love it when someone shows up in your world and suddenly their emergency becomes yours, that's a very difficult thing to deal with, especially when they're family, friends, or someone that you're in a relationship with? I have learned how to not let someone else's emergency become mine by having a really good boundary. And that can be difficult. That's because I focus on the things that are really important to me. Now, there are times when I do need to let that emergency be mine. But when it really isn't mine, it's just something that they need to be done because they want it done. I have to choose what's best for me, that can be a very difficult boundary. So I want you to be thinking about how sometimes you might allow someone else's emergency to be yours when really it's not.
