When Jesus is Welcome in Every Area of Your Life

Faith in Christ is not meant to stay confined to one part of life. Drawing from Ephesians 3 and the picture of Christ making His home in the believer’s heart, Pastor Chris Teien shows how Jesus wants access to our thoughts, desires, habits, hidden struggles, and daily decisions. Consider what it means to receive Christ, trust Him deeply, and let Him be Lord over every room of the heart. In This Message1. Invite Jesus into the Entryway of Your Life(Ephesians 3:16–17; John 14:23; Revelation 3:20; John 1:12; Romans 10:9; 1 John 5:11)Jesus does not merely rescue people from judgment and leave them unchanged. The sermon explains that receiving Christ means welcoming Him into the center of life by faith, trusting Him as Savior and Lord, and allowing Him to begin His transforming work.2. Clean Out the Study and Renew Your Mind(Romans 12:2; Philippians 4:8)The study represents the thoughts, media, influences, and ideas that shape the mind. Believers are called to reject the patterns of the world, renew their minds with Scripture, and let Christ reshape what they dwell on.3. Reshape the Dining Room and Examine Your Desires(1 John 2:16; John 4:32–34)The dining room represents the appetites and ambitions that compete for the heart. This point shows that worldly cravings, pride, and self-focused goals cannot satisfy like doing the will of the Father and seeking what pleases Him.4. Return to the Living Room and Spend Time with Jesus(Luke 10:38–42)The living room pictures quiet fellowship with Christ through Scripture, prayer, and daily devotion. The sermon emphasizes that time with Jesus should not be crowded out by busyness, even by good activity.5. Open the Hall Closet and Confess Hidden Sin(1 John 1:9)The hall closet represents the sins, shame, and hidden things people try to keep from Christ. Jesus already sees what is there, and He offers cleansing, forgiveness, and restored fellowship when believers confess and surrender those areas to Him.6. Sign Over the Title and Let Christ Be Lord of All(Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Hebrews 13:20–21)The message concludes with the call to stop treating Jesus as a guest and yield every part of life to Him as owner and Lord. Communion becomes a time to remember Christ’s sacrifice, confess sin, renew devotion, and trust Him to lead.25m0406der Helping you apply God's Word and follow Jesus in everyday life.
