WHEN MERCY MEETS GRACE

Devotional Message: Scripture: “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us… has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” — Ephesians 2:4–5 Mercy and grace are two powerful expressions of God’s love, and when they meet, lives are transformed. Mercy withholds the judgment we deserve; grace releases the blessings we could never earn. Together, they reveal the heart of a compassionate Father who rescues, restores, and renews. In moments when we fall short, mercy steps in to cover our failures. But God does not stop there. Grace then lifts us up, empowering us to live a new life in Christ. Mercy heals our past; grace secures our future. One removes guilt, the other releases purpose. When mercy meets grace, shame is replaced with hope, weakness with strength, and brokenness with divine possibility. This divine meeting point reminds us that our walk with God is not sustained by perfection, but by His unfailing love. Today, rest in this truth: you are not defined by your mistakes, but by God’s mercy and grace working together for your good. Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your mercy that forgives and Your grace that empowers. Help me to live each day aware of Your love and confident in the new life You have given me. Amen.
