My guest in this episode is Emma Johnston. Emma is a single mum living in the south east of England. She is mum to twins, whose story is one of happy and sad. When her surviving twin was only two her husband left to work on the other side of the world (with another women), but Emma realised through all the following years of court cases, it was the best thing for her and her daughter to start over together free of the lies and deceit. 16 years on she talks of what it’s like starting life, once again, with a teenager, whilst peri-menopausal. Emma hopes her episode will demonstrate what is possible when it feels all has been lost. Where there is a will, there is definitely a way, and it’s about recognising how far you have come, that moment she got to lift the Olympic torch she realised she was a survivor.
