When Resurrection Was the Gospel
from Atlas University Podcast Hosted by Atlas University x Klesia Press x Absurd Health x RuaMusic x KingArtist
The historical and biblical investigation traces how early Christian Christology shifted from a proclamation anchored in resurrection to a doctrine centered on eternal preexistence and incarnation. In the earliest apostolic texts, Yeshua is understood as a mortal human beingwho died in weakness and was subsequently raised, vindicated, and empowered by Yahweh as the firstfruits of a new humanity. Over time, however, later Christian thinkers increasingly projected Yeshua's decisive identity backward—moving from his resurrection to his baptism, then to his conception, and finally before creation—to define him as an eternally divine person. This backward migration of explanatory authority transformed the fundamental meaning of Easter, turning an event that initially demonstrated how Yahweh brings human life through death into a celebration of an inherently immortal God passing through a temporary mortal phase.
