When Saying Yes Changes Lives: Karen Tam’s Story at the Shelter

Karen Tam first came to the Shelter to help with simple administrative work as a volunteer. But as she gave her time, God gave her a bigger vision. He put it on her heart to pour into the children who live at the Shelter, and week after week she’s been faithfully ministering to them. Karen has not only brought consistency and joy to these kids’ lives, she’s also had the privilege of witnessing incredible stories of transformation—including a mother who arrived at the Shelter in need and eventually found the home of her dreams. Karen’s journey shows us how God can take a willing heart and multiply it into something that changes lives. She’s proof that every season of life can be fruitful when we say ‘yes’ to Him.
