It is common for them to defend the abuser and oust the victim or shame them. You owe NO one "Proof", they know what they did.  "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable" (Elizabeth Graybill), especially when you first share.  Every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted and every 9 minutes that victim is a child according to RAINN 1-800-656-HOPE To all victims, know you are not alone, you made it this far, get therapy or help to process so that you can move forward and find closure, peace and reach your true calling.
