When Should I Start Taking Testosterone?

from Intellectual Medicine Hosted by Dr. Stephen Petteruti

When should I start taking testosterone? This is a question I often hear from my male patients. For those practicing antiaging medicine, the question is no longer if, but when testosterone should be started. This essential, life-sustaining hormone declines in everybody. At some point you will experience symptoms of low testosterone, or you will need it to prevent the ravages of aging from corroding your health. In this episode you will learn what those symptoms are, and what the age is to consider it even in the absence of symptoms. You will also learn what different methods of testosterone delivery should be considered, some of the side effects to be monitored for and some of the perceived, and real side effects and risks to balance.
