When Someone Loves You Enough to Tell You the Truth

What if the encouragement you need isn't, “You've got this”—but, “Hey...don't go that way”?We usually think of encouragement as making someone feel better, cheering them on, or reminding them they can keep going. We'll talk about what biblical encouragement actually looks like, why Hebrews connects it with protecting one another from the deceitfulness of sin, and how encouragement changes when our confidence isn't ultimately in ourselves.When someone is struggling, perhaps they don't need another person telling them:“You're strong enough.”Maybe they need someone beside them saying:“God is faithful. He hasn't left you. And you don't have to walk through this alone.”Because sometimes encouragement isn't reminding somebody how strong they are.It's helping them remember how faithful He is.
