A detective sits across from an 18-year-old suspect. He asks the same questions over and over. The boy's answers are slow and confused. A massive red mark covers his face. The detective assumes he is lying or on drugs. He is wrong. Ryan Waller had been shot in the eye hours earlier. A bullet was lodged in his brain.
