When the Empires Rage On (Daniel 3:8-27)- Peace Lee

Guest preacher Peace Lee shares with us from Daniel 3 the vision of a God who delivers us by being present with us in the midst of fires. As we experience the Empires raging on, she highlights the choir of living witnesses who sang a song of justice throughout the generations and encourages us to preach, protest, pray, and party in ways that continually resist the violence and tyranny of Empire.  Peace Pyunghwa Lee (she/her) is a spiritual director, preacher, and an educator committed to decolonial and feminist praxis. Formative experiences of growing up in Korea and the Philippines and later immigrating to the United States as a preteen has imbued her with a humanizing and inclusive perspective. At the core of her faith is the affirmation of the sacred worth of all persons, as imago dei.
