WHEN THE FOG ROLLS IN

WHEN THE FOG HIDES THE MOUNTAIN Where we live here on the Hill in southern Tennessee, we get a good bit of fog from time to time. There is something interesting about standing on this hill when the fog begins to roll in. One moment you can see the peaks and valleys clearly. You can see the trees climbing the mountainside, the ridges stretching across the horizon, and maybe even snow resting on the highest places during the winter. Then the fog comes. Within minutes, everything that seemed so clear can suddenly disappear. But here is what we know to be true. The mountains are still there. The fog didn’t move them. The clouds didn’t destroy them. Our inability to see it didn’t change the reality of they still exist. We simply cannot see what we know is there. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
