When the Holidays reveal your aging parents need help

Today Kim Hegwood will be speaking with Kristen Carlson from Right At Home Home Care.  Kristen opened Right at Home Greater Galveston in 2007 after seeing a need for customer-centered care in the home-care world for her elderly aunt. Prior to opening the Galveston RAH office, Kristen worked for over twelve years in medical management (8 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch and 5 years at the Center of Reproductive Medicine). Prior to moving to Galveston, she worked as a Financial Analyst at First Boston Corp in New York City. Kristen has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and an MBA from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Kristen has lived in Galveston since 1993. Kristen is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Galveston and was named Most Valuable Member in June 2009. She most recently served as President of the club 2017-2018, served on the Board of Directors from 2009-2012, and is Treasurer for the Galveston Rotary Foundation. Kristen also serves as the Treasurer for the Galveston Art League, a non-profit art gallery. Kristen received her accreditation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010. Kristen has two adult children, Taylor Greenwalt (Creative Services Coordinator for the Galveston Island Convention & Visitor's Bureau) and Sydney Greenwalt (co-owner of a Right at Home office in Round Rock, TX).
