When the Problems Keep Increasing—Don’t Give Up Yet

BIBLE STUDY| MIRACLES OF JESUS SERIES.|THE FIFTH MIRACLE OF JESUS pt.43 | THE POWER OF RETREAT|JESUS WALKING ON WATER|CHRISTIAN SPIRITUALITY / FAITH & DISCIPLESHIP| CHIMDI OHAHUNA What do you do when you are stuck in the middle of the sea, the waves are swelling, the wind is contrary, and darkness has set in? In this powerful continuation of the Miracles of Jesus Bible Study, we return to Matthew 14:24 and the account of the disciples caught in the middle of the sea while journeying toward Capernaum. The teaching draws powerful spiritual lessons from three realities confronting the disciples: being stuck in the midst of the sea, increasing problems represented by swelling waves, and the darkness of the night. This episode explores what it means to reach a critical point in your journey where going forward seems impossible and going backward is not an option. Rather than surrendering to discouragement, we are challenged to recognize that halfway is not the final destination. A major emphasis of this teaching is the necessity of two things in seasons of intense pressure: the presence of Jesus in our lives and the presence of prayer in our mouths. When these two remain central, the waves of life do not have to destroy us; God can cause us to walk through the very circumstances that were designed to stop us. The teaching also examines the “dark time”—seasons when your work, progress, and potential may not yet be visible to others. Darkness is presented not merely as a negative experience, but as a transition period in which God may be preparing you for the next season. The challenge is not to mistake obscurity for unproductivity or delay for failure. Another powerful theme is satanic sabotage—how things originally designed to help us can become obstacles through the enemy's interference. Through the examples of Adam and Eve and Job, the teaching examines how believers can respond without allowing sabotage, opposition, or difficult relationships to derail their integrity, faith, or assignment. The central charge is clear: Do not drown in the middle of the sea. Do not surrender during the dark time. Do not allow sabotage to terminate your journey. Keep Jesus at the center. Keep the prayer fire burning. Keep moving toward your God-given destination. If you are currently facing increasing challenges, uncertainty, delay, opposition, or a season where your efforts seem invisible, this teaching will encourage you to walk while you rest in the finished work of Christ and trust God to bring you to your destination. 🎧 Listen, learn, pray, and be strengthened in your journey with Jesus.
