When the Republican Party crossed the Aisle to Switch Places with the Racist Democrat Party....Never Happened

During a few political conversations a friend will ask how can I be apart of such a racist party. My response is typically excuse me. I have always thought that I gave much grace in not bringing up the well documented history of the racism of the democratic party. I have been a member of a party who has never been on the wrong side of Civil Rights. That is when I hear that well you know the racist democrats became republicans and the decent people became democrats. Yeah well, that is what we are talking about today.
