When the Rooster Crows

Hi SSH Community! In this Bible study, we explore Peter’s denial and restoration, and what his story teaches us about repentance, mercy, and the gracious work of Christ. In our Scriptures today, we trace Peter’s journey from being called by Jesus, to confidently claiming he would never deny Him, to weeping bitterly when the rooster crowed. Yet Peter’s failure was not the end of his story. The risen Christ met him in mercy, restored him in love, and recommissioned him to feed His sheep. His story reminds us that restoration is the fruit of repentance, and that failure does not have the final word when Christ restores what sin has broken. The Scriptures we study are: John 1:35–42 Luke 22:31–34 Luke 22:54–62 John 21:1–19 Luke 5:1–11
